Sabah Khadri

Sabah is definitely the client who taught me the most in 2018. Working with someone in Qatar brought home the realities of a state religion. Access to the internet is closely regulated, and the changing hours plus the exhaustion the citizens suffer after a month-long Ramadan fast made scheduling work a real problem.

Sabah's compelling personal statement about setting aside the hijab to attend Gerogetown University, as well as her work at Cornell-Qatar studying the effects of Muslim (Sharia'h) law on people with disabilities earned her a spot at DePaul Law School, where she hopes to study with a specialist on international human rights while living with relatives.
